Pension Agency Nurses' Knowledge Hospice And Influencing Factors Of Research

Nowadays,China is being in the initial stage of aging society.Considering the current situations in China,it will be a helpful attempt to study the status quo of Hospice Service.Hospice Service aims to improve the life quality of the dying elder and make them feel peaceful and comfortable during the rest of their lives.Thus,necessary financial support shall be offered to comfort the elder both physically and mentally.Besides,professional service shall be also provided to meet their requirements against pain relief,affective communication and social activities etc..Not only can such research make up the insufficiency of theoretical study on Hospice Care,but the same can fully fulfill the life demands of the dying elder and relieve the burdens on their family members from finance,body as well as psychology.Also,to some extent,it can as well benefit the development of aging industries.Hence,as an excellent way to solve the present confronting difficulties in China,Hospice Service will definitely lead the aging industries in the future.Taking nursing staffs in pension institutions as the respondents,it makes use of "Questionnaires" to do research on Hospice Service in this thesis.And field visits have been paid to three pension institutions of different sizes in Shijiazhuang for the purpose of first hand data.Finally,total 345 questionnaires have been distributed and 326 valid copies have been collected.After the initial processing of the data obtained from the aforesaid questionnaires,the statistics software SPSS23.0 has been adopted to carry out further analysis,and then suitable methods have been applied in light of the nature of the information and the objective of the research.Eventually,with regard to Hospice Service conducted by nursing staffs in pension institutions,applicable measures and strategies with Chinese characteristics have been investigated on basis of the analysis outcomes.The questionnaire consists of three sections as follows.The first section mainly involves personal information of nursing staffs,such as gender,age,education level and working years in Nursing etc..With regard to knowledge level and service attitude of nursing staffs,influence factors have been found out by means of certain analysis.The second section is about basic knowledge of Hospice Service.The average score of all items herein is 0.16±0.03,with the highest score in psychosocial sprit and the lowest score in pain management.The last section focuses on attitudes towards Hospice Service.The average score of all items hereof is 2.8±0.544.Subsequently,T tests have been executed by way of pairwise comparison among three separate average scores.And,the results show that the rest have statistical sense(P<0.05),except needs assessment of hospice objects and attitudes assessment of individual death.Obviously,the score of attitudes assessment of Hospice Service is much bigger than the others.Furthermore,with respect to the scores of nursing staffs in pension institutions,it is found that there are significant differences(P<0.05)resulting from ages,working years and contact frequencies to the dying elder.Based on the aforesaid data analysis,the conclusion comes out that nursing staffs in pension institutions are basically lack of relevant knowledge of Hospice Service,especially that of pain management and that of philosophy & principles in Hospice Service.The foregoing conclusions show that there are many factors,such as gender,working years and contract frequencies to the dying elder etc.,influencing the knowledge accumulation of nursing staffs in pension institutions.Compared with needs assessment of hospice objects and attitudes assessment of individual death,nursing staffs in pension institutions are not usually positive and optimistic to attitudes assessment of Hospice Service.Meanwhile,nursing staffs' attitudes towards Hospice Service have been proved to be deeply affected by their personal information,like age,education,working years in Nursing etc.As China has stepped into the aging society,the proportion of the elder population becomes bigger and bigger,series of problems caused by aging gets more and more prominent,and aging industries urgently need well development.Therefore,it is of very important reference values of the measures & strategies as proposed in this thesis for the purpose of the development of Hospice service.However,by contrast with foreign countries,there are still lots of shortages and flaws,no matter the inputs of social resources or the supports by government policies.At present,because it is in urgent need to improve the current situations of Hospice Service in China,the specific measures can be taken as follows.First of all,get more policy supports from the government,strengthen the implementation of the government's responsibilities and play well the role of publicity and supervision by the government.Then,put more material resources into the industry of Hospice Service and facilitate the construction of infrastructure facilities.Further,enhance education and training against nursing personnel to improve the quality of the overall nursing teams,for example,more resources into education and training programs,clinical training to improve the quality of nursing personnel and perfect teaching methods in practice.Finally,strengthen the comprehensive quality of nursing staffs in pension institutions,for instance,improvement in service capabilities as well as nursing abilities in psychology,development in self-conscious and initiative service awareness and improvement in manners & attitudes towards Hospice Service.
