The Credibility Of The Communist Party Of China In The New Period

As an ability expressed by a party to build the base for political trust in citizens,its public trust is a significant aspect concerning its ruling ability.In public trust construction,the Communist Party of China(CPC)has continuously achieved new results,yet faces questions,some of which even become general concerns.Since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC,the Party Central Committee headed by Xi Jinping has launched mass line-oriented educational &practical activities and topic-based educational activities such as “Three Stricts & Three Honests(strict in self-cultivation,strict in exercising authority,strict in self-discipline and honest in planning,honest in entrepreneurship,honest in behavior)” and “Two Studyings and One Becoming(Studying constitution and rules of the CPC,studying the spirit of series of significant speeches made by Xi Jinping and becoming a qualified member of the CPC)”,and has been continuously intensifying anti-corruption actions against high-ranking officials(“tigers”),low-level ones(“flies”)as well as those who fled abroad(“foxes”)highly from a strategy of “Four Comprehensivelys(Comprehensively building well-off society,comprehensively deepening reform,comprehensively ruling the country by law and comprehensively administering the Party with severity”,under the guidance of “Five Development Philosophies(Innovation,Harmony,Green,Opening & Sharing)”,and by adhering to the policy that fight against corruption must be resolute,brave and effective just like cutting one’s own wrist to save body,scraping off the arrowpoison in the bone and leaving a footprint when walking in the snow.Such activities and fight against corruption are important ways and results for the CPC to build public trust.On the basis of defining connotation of public trust,connotation of public trust of a ruling party and elements of public trust of a ruling party,and referring to & summarizing relevant literature and documentations,this paper combs basic theories concerning ruling public trust ideologies proposed by Marxist classical authors and rulers of the CPC,and probes into the significance of public trust of a ruling party from ruling status,government image and social stability etc.Also,based on the understanding of the status of the construction of ruling public trust of the CPC,it analyzes major problems in the construction of public trust of the ruling party,dissects the factors causing insufficient public trust of the CPC in current new period,i.e.,the emergence of various social problems in the social transformation period,the neglect of the building of the Party’s working style in the peace & development period,and the impact on main ideologies in the era of globalization,and further show the ways to improve ruling public trust of the CPC in the new era,i.e.,to strengthen the construction of ruling ability from economy,politics,culture,society and ecological environment and to unswervingly administer the Party from all angles with severity to further promote the harmonious and stable development of the society.All these problems are the vital subjects needed to be studied in the localization of Marxism in China.
