WeChat developed rapidly since Tencent Company launched WeChat mobile client in 2011.Nowadays,WeChat is one of the most frequent instant messaging tools.Tencent has launched a micro-public platform on the basis of WeChat in August 2012.After that,majority of government departments have been attracted to make use of it to provide public services,make government affairs public and build personalized service platform.The micro-public platform built by government is called government WeChat.The government WeChat has made breakthrough progress on the quantity,scale and functional positioning.Therefore,it has an important impact on the provision of public service,strengthening the interaction between officials and citizens and construction of service-oriented government.Government WeChat together with government website and government press spokesman system gradually has been the three major measures of government information publicity.At the same time,government WeChat,government website and government microblogging have become the most important network government platform.The village and towns' government agencies contact with the people frequently.Along with development of network government,how to make good use of government WeChat to service the public is a matter of concern and discussion.The author analyses proposals to improve government WeChat with the example of A town in Guangfeng District combing with work experience and the background of new media era.The author uses the method of literature research,questionnaire survey method and sum up method to analyze the current situation and problems of A town government WeChat construction.Firstly,the paper points out that there are many problems of A town government WeChat which is still at the initial stage of development,such as the unclear functional orientation of A town government WeChat construction,the single content it has been released,the unprofessional daily operation and maintenance and so on.Secondly,the paper introduces the reasons of these problems in depth such as lack of the overall design and planning,lack of enough emphasis by local government,the imperfect human,financial,technicial and other resources supporting measures,lack of government WeChat supervision and evaluation incentives.Finally,in order to promote the development of A town government WeChat construction,the paper introduces some proposals such as accurate functional orientation,emphasis on the released intent,professional operation and management and so on.These proposals are helpful for othertowns to construct government WeChat.
