This research is focused on China's contributions to climate change adaptation in Liberia's agriculture and/or Food Security sector, but it also broadly considers Sino-Africa's relations in said areas as they are two partners and said contributions largely originate via cooperation at the level of the Forum On China Africa Cooperation(FOCAC). Given that Climate Change management is comprised of two major components: mitigation and adaptation, adaptation to climate change is greatly needed in Africa if sustainable development is to be attained. The research uses two contemporary theories in Liberal Institutionalism and Complex Interdependence as South-South Cooperation (SSC) is viewed as very strategic in Africa's adaptation to Climate Change and it (SSC) is a product of the above theories and considered to be a very effective framework through which adaptation to climate change in the agricultural sector of Liberia can be fostered. China possesses the capacity with regards to the requirements needed to adapt to climate change in financial resources, skills and technologies transfer to regions that are affected by climate change, and Africa is one of said regions. The paper also discussed relevant and contemporary literature with regards to a general overview of climate change and response thereof, China's contributions to climate change and food security in Africa and also challenges posed by climate change to sustainable development in Africa. In view of the crux of this research, various reliable secondary sources in the Food Security sector of Liberia were contacted as initiatives undertaken by China aimed at reducing hunger and attaining Food Security in Liberia were unraveled and discussed with emphasis on the requirements of climate change adaptation. The research concludes that China has made some contributions to hunger reduction and Food Security attainment in Liberia but those initiatives undertaken are far less than the task at hand if Liberia is to be food secure and build resilience to climate change in the agricultural sector. Accordingly, the research proffers a major recommendation among others that the Liberian government prioritizes engagement with China largely on the basis of Agriculture & Food Security and in view of adaptation to climate change as China has massive financial, skills, and technological prowess coupled with its experience in a sector (Food Security/Agricultural) that has proven to be highly effective in the attainment of sustainable development.
