Nowadays, the climate change is a serious challenge to human survival and development; it is a major global issue of the international community in common concern. Both of the developed and developing countries have come to realize the importance and urgency of dealing with the climate change. However, due to contradictory interests of the developed and developing countries in solving global environmental issues, the United Nations Climate Change Conference is difficult to obtain satisfactory results. The anarchy of the international community and the inequality on the international environmental politics between the developed and developing countries is exacerbated this phenomenon. To work together to solve the global environmental problems is a consensus. Under this context, Brazil, South Africa, India and China these four major developing countries joined together to pursue their own environmental interests. Undoubtedly, the “BASIC” coalition will be new solutions of solving the contradiction between the developed and developing countries in the United Nations Climate Change Conference. This mechanism focuses on further promoting South-South cooperation and the possibility of developing North-South dialog; promoting the order of international climate negotiations towards multipolarization. That makes the "BASIC" mechanism from the unknown to become an integral part of international climate negotiations. It is true that it is very young and not mature, facing many internal challenges and external obstruction. But in the background of advocating peace and development, the establishment of a new international political and economic order, as long as countries working together, the "BASIC" will be able to obtain long-term development, promote the development of international climate negotiations, and contribute to address climate change for all humanity.
