With the deepening of the reform and opening-up,the establishment and continuous improvement of the socialist market economic system,and the gradual loosening of the household registration management system,the original relatively rigid "two classes-one stratum" social structure pattern gradually divided and broke down,and the mobility of society is increasing.At the same time,the employment structure,urban and rural structure,and industrial structure continued to change and adjust,social resources began to flow freely and recombine within the whole society,social class structure gradually split and reorganized.In this social background,a large number of emerging social strata appeared,including the entrepreneurs and technical personnel of private scientific and technological enterprises,the management personnel and technical personnel in the foreign-funded enterprises,the self-employed,the private business owners,the intermediary organizations practitioners and the freelancers.The new social stratum plays an important role not only in accelerating economic and social development,in promoting democratic political construction,and in promoting the prosperity of socialist culture,but also for consolidating and developing the patriotic united front,consolidating the party’s class base and expanding the party’s mass base,and building a socialist harmonious society is of great significance.It is noteworthy,however,that in the face of the current complex social development situation,although the new social stratum’s mainstream thinking in ideological and political aspects is positive and healthy,there is still a considerable part of the new social class that lack of trust in our party and the state,lack of political belief in our socialist system,and their thinking and behaviors are seriously contrary to the current social advocacy of socialist core values.In addition,the internal heterogeneity of the new social class becomes more and more obvious,the contradictions and conflicts of interest between the various social strata become more and more prominent,the difficulty of social integration increases.These not only give us a serious challenge to the united front work of our country,but also become a realistic basis for strengthening the new social stratum’s ideological guidance work in the new century and new stage."Class is the ruling party’s first political resources."
