Study On The System Of Preventing And Punishing Officials ’corruption In The Period Of Wu Zetian

The prevention and punishment of corrupt crimes by officials is a matter of great importance to the rulers of ancient times.The Tang Dynasty entered the mature stage of the legal system of feudal society,and on the basis of drawing lessons from the previous experience of punishing corruption,enrich and perfect the related system.At the beginning of the Tang Dynasty,Wu Zetian had a number of pioneers in punishing the official corruption system,which played a positive role in the anti-corruption work during his administration.This article is divided into five parts to introduce the system of punishing official corruption in Wu Zetian.The first part starts from the political situation of the time of Wu Zetian,explores the class change,the political turmoil and the restless situation at that time,paving the way for the discussion of concrete system.The second part discusses the specific operation of Wu Zetian from the three aspects of official management system,supervision system and penalty system.The system of official management is divided into the system of selecting officials,the system of appointment and examination system,and the analysis of Wu Zetian’s role in preventing the corruption of officials.The third part of the supervision system is divided into censor system and remonstrance system to elaborate.Censor system,Wu Zetian set about Suzheng Tai;remonstrance system,the addition of Bu Que,Shi Yi and other remonstrator.The fourth part of the Tang law will be divided into corrupt officials,corruption,bribery,extortion of property,favoritism and other provisions.On this basis,we discuss the practice of punishing official corruption in the period of Wu Zetian,and the example shows that Wu Zetian is resolute and effective in punishing official corruption.The fifth part evaluates the system of Wu Zetian period,expounds their positive and negative influence in punishing official corruption,and provides reference for today’s anti-corruption work.
