In years of 1987 and 2000,the two cases of Intifada not only resulted in significant casualties between the Palestinians and Israelis, but also had the important impact on the decision-making of Israeli coalition government on this matter.Through the use of comparative historical research, this essay expounds that the two cases of Intifada exert a great importance on the process of elections and policies of the Israeli coalition government at different times.Intifada is a social movement which has dual attributes,it is not only the social movement responded by Israeli Arabs for the sake of influencing government‘s decision-making,but also the political movement conducted by the Palestinians under occupation in order to seek national emancipation and independence. As a part of the Palestinian Uprising, the two cases of Intifada make distinctions in aspects of time and process of the outbreak, cause of the outbreak, purpose and leadership of the Pale stinian authorities as well as degree of casualty and the end of outbreak. This is also the basis and condition that led to its different influence on the coalition government of Israel at different times. The two cases of Intifada exercise great influence on elections and policies of the Israeli coalition government at different times. The highlights and innovations of this essay are based on the time and development process of the first Intifada and the second Intifada outbreak, through the data analysis of legislative elections of 1988,1992,2001 and 2003 to make a comparison that the two cases of Intifada have different effects and causes on the coalition government of Israel. As a result, the first Intifada promoting the political position of the Israe li coalition government tends to be more dove, while the second Intifada leading to the Israeli coalition government‘s political position tends to be more hawks. The first Intifada led Shamir government to experiencing decision-making difficulties, mainly on the differences of opinions, personality conflict and power competition. The issue of Palestine-Israel conflict is an important part of Rabin's thought and his political position. The basic decision of the Rabin government is to uphold the peace process and sign the Oslo Accords with the Palestinian counterpart to achieve it.The outbreak of Intifada prompted the Israeli people who were dissatisfied with Palestinian authority to push Sharon into the position of Israeli Prime Minister.Sharon government after coalition was rooted in the ideology of the right-wing forces and had neither willingness nor ability to advance the peace process. In recent years,Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu led Likud as the main right-wing party to steer the government.Given the current situation and challenges,Israeli government continues to turn right to Israeli politics, leading to its political position towards more right-wing orientation. The conflict between Palestine and Israel is enormously complicated;therefore further thoughts and more essays should be conducted in order to find the right way to solve Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.
