After the founding of Israel in 1948,there were about 160,000 Arabs in the territory, and these Arabs became Israeli citizens according to the Israeli Declaration of Independence and the Nationality Act.The Jewish attributes of Israel determined the marginal status of these Arabs in Israel, and they have been unfairly treated by the Israeli government for the long time.Israel had been carrying out its 18-year-old military control on these Arabs from 1948,after the release of military control in 1966,the Israeli security authorities focused on monitoring them.In this case, the coercive power relations has been established between the Jewish government and the Israeli Arabs. This coercive power relations are likely to change the original norms and identity of the Arabs when it meets the three conditions, first, the coercive power relationship is inseparable and unbreakable;second,Arabs subject to Jewish government are rewarded with some interests;third, the Arabs are not affected by different external information.Based on the analysis of the two stages of 1948-1966 and 1967-1988,it can be determined that under the influence of this coercive power, more than 80% of the Israeli Arabs have admitted the legitimacy of Israel's founding, accepted Israel's citizenship, while at the very beginning, they refused to admit Israel's founding and to accept the citizenship. What's more, their political activities are increasingly in line with Israeli laws and regulations,non-violent behavior become the main way of their political struggles. At the same time, when the above three conditions of this coercive power relations are met at the same time, the norms and identity construction will be more rapid and thorough;but when this coercive power relations began to loosen, unable to meet the three conditions, norms and identity construction will be slower or even impossible to complete.
