The Power Of Overseas Chinese To Realize Chinese Dream

Overseas Chinese,from all over the world,are concerned about the motherland and constantly focus on the development of the motherland. In all ages, especially since modern times, overseas Chinese have played their unique advantages to be committed to achieving the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation. The realization of the Chinese dream cannot be separated from the strength of overseas Chinese, while the development of overseas Chinese also demands the realization of the Chinese dream. Moreover, the Chinese dream achieving is able to create a better developing environment for overseas Chinese. Affected by the current international and domestic environment as well as the factors from oversea Chinese own, there are some difficulties in gaining strength of the overseas Chinese to achieve the Chinese dream. From the perspective of history and reality, this paper investigates the role of overseas Chinese in boosting the realization of the Chinese dream. It not only contributes to systemize the theories related to the Chinese dream and the overseas Chinese, but also provides some references for China to develop policy on overseas Chinese affairs.This thesis holds that, during the period of old democratic revolution, the overseas Chinese actively supported the dream of national independence; during the period of new democratic revolution, the overseas Chinese contributed to the dream of anti-Japanese and national salvation; since the new century, the overseas Chinese have made new important contributions for the Chinese dream achieving in such aspects as acting as image ambassadors, building cultural bridges,enhancing body strength, providing economic support and high-tech talents,and creating a good international environment and so on. Obviously, the overseas Chinese play an irreplaceable role in boosting the realization of the Chinese dream. Meanwhile, the current complex international environment is not conducive to gain strength of the overseas Chinese to achieve the Chinese drem. The domestic environment is a direct factor affecting the contribution of the overseas Chinese to Chinese dream, and even some overseas Chinese face the danger of rootless. We must dare to face these problems and challenges, and strive for the early realization of the Chinese dream through multi strategies, multi-pronged, scientific propaganda, the in-depth coherence of overseas Chinese's feeling,the interests maintaining for overseas Chinese, the intelligence gathering of overseas Chinese, and scientifically playing the force of overseas Chinese.This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, which sorts out the research status at home and abroad, and defines the concepts of overseas Chinese and Chinese dream. The second part examines the role of overseas Chinese in promoting the realization of the Chinese dream from the historical perspective. The third part sets forth the practical role of overseas Chinese in boosting the Chinese dream. The fourth part analyzes the problems and challenges faced by overseas Chinese in promoting the realization of the Chinese dream. The fifth part discusses how to better gather the strength of overseas Chinese, so as to promote the Chinese dream to be realized early.
