Mao Zedong's Concept Of Knowing And Doing And Its Significance To “Studies On The Theoretical And Practical Issues Of Party Building”

Knowing and doing has always been in the cusp since ancient times.From Confucius to Sun Zhongshan,from Aristotle to Marx,the idea of knowing and doing is constantly getting a new interpretation.However,when the pointer of history went to the modern times,the old concept of "knowing and doing" was especially difficult before facing the most urgent problems to be solved in China.Facts have proved that the desire to save China from the "prey" has been shattered by the traditional view of the Chinese people.The Marx doctrine is the scientific spirit weapons,but to solve specific and practical problems in the Chinese,it has to apply with Chinese logic and Chinese reality by Chinese who can use this weapon correctly.Mao Zedong regards Marx doctrine as the spiritual weapon,integrates the essence of past knowledge and practice,integrates Chinese and foreign philosophical resources,bases on the reality of Chinese revolution and relies on the people's main body,and establishes the dialectical materialist theory of knowing and doing.Mao Zedong's concept of knowing and doing has realized the fundamental transcendence of the traditional view of knowledge and practice,and has found its logical landing point for Marx's epistemology to play a role in China.On the basis of the people as the main body of knowing and doing,the characteristics of Mao Zedong's view of knowing and doing is more obvious.The "knowledge" can be divided into factual knowledge--practice knowledge and value knowledge--the knowledge of virtue,and contains the two meaning and obvious purpose,the pursuit of the ideal of freedom as non domination;the "doing" in human subjects can be divided into work,life and contain the previous two the meaning and demonstrate the effect,the pursuit of "freedom" to govern reality tour.All of the "knowledge" is ultimately to "doing".However,it is not easy to change the "knowing" from the theoretical form to the "doing" which is full of reality.In the middle of knowing and doing,there is an intermediate medium to promote its transformation.Mao Zedong is to pay attention to the role of the "faith",and the unification of knowing and doing has been achieved again and again.Mao Zedong's concept of knowing and doing in contemporary times,also has its enlightenment meaning on "doing"."From learning to doing" and "from knowing to doing"--on the basis of philosophy,we can find that it has the same meaning.Understanding this can lead to solve the problem about the "separation" of "knowing and doing" in certain categories.After scrutiny,we can know that the "Faith" plays an important role in the middle of "learning" and "doing".And to establish the "faith",we should return to Mao Zedong's viewpoint of "knowing and doing" to search methods,namely to reform the subjective world of the people who are seemed as the main body of "learning and doing".
