In recent years,incidents relating to China's interest,such as Diaoyu islands,South China Sea etc.are attracting increasing attention on Internet and social media in China,which have triggered political discussion.Now almost every international conflicts involving China will trigger collective action in cyber space in China.However,the research on such action usually adopt an qualitative critical analysis approach and lack quantitative perspective.Few have examined the psychological mechanism of collective action.Based on social identity model of collective action,this thesis takes the national identity,anger,and efficacy as predictors of collective action.The survey among Weibo users indicates that national identity can predict the collective action,and anger and efficacy work as mediators.The results of psychological mechanism in Chinese patriotic participation fit the social identity model of collective action,and emphasize the prediction function of group anger and efficacy to collective action.Considering the current features of online collective action in China,this thesis provides recommendations for rational patriotic expression and the creation of a healthy online participation environment.
