After more than 30 years of development, great changes have taken place in our country. The police's role has changed from a relatively strong dictatorship in the past to fighting crime and serving the people.The police's task has been increasing, and the police have been shrinking in gun using step by step, and some grassroots policemen have no gun to use. However, in recent years, with increasing contradictions in national and social levels, the demands for the use of guns continue to increase.Currently what we need to consider is how to meet the demand in a reasonable and legitimate basis.The main thread of this paper is to ask questions, analyze problems and solve problems. At the beginning of the article, this paper introduces the research background and significance of this paper, as well as the research methods. Next is a summary of the literature in gun using,mainly from the gun using management, gun using legislation, gun using problems and gun using research in other countries and regions. On this basis, describe the current gun using situation in our country,the current problems existing in gun using are "do not want to use guns", "dare not use guns", "can not use guns" and other issues.In view of the problems in police gun using, we mainly analyzes the causes of the problems, mainly from the four aspects to analyze: the law, the management of guns, the training of use of police guns, the responsibility of use of police guns, and so on. The purpose is to propose a solution to specify the direction.Furthermore,introducing other countries and region's experience in order to provide reference for our country, we mainly introduces the situation in the United States, Britain and Hong Kong. Their situations and conditions are different. All of them developed a suitable system according to their actual situation, which can inspire us.Finally, in view of the problems existing in the use of police guns,and on the basis of drawing on the advanced experience of the three places, this paper puts forward some solutions to the police gun using of our country, from the improvement of laws and regulations, to improve the management of guns, in accordance with the police and the use of guns, to improve gun using training, increase publicity efforts.The recommendations from practice, with strong operability, for improving the police gun using in our country is of practical significance.Finally, we summarize the article and put forward the prospect of the police gun using. Development solves problem, I believe that with the progress of society, we will find the method to adapt to police gun using.
