At present,there are many drug safety accidents and crisis in China,and the drug safety supervision has become a major problem and focus of government regulation.Although China's drug safety regulatory model is still government-led,the regulation of the government has many deficiencies,which leads to regulatory loopholes and vacuum.Comparing with the above disadvantages,pharmaceutical industry associations have a lot of advantages in the field of medicine.For example,they hold a lot of information and have professional knowledge and high self-discipline in the field of medicine.All of the advantages can make up for the disadvantages of government regulation.Therefore,to solve the problem of drug safety and strengthen the supervision of drug safety,we should not only perfect the government regulation and market self-regulation,but also make rational use the advantages of the pharmaceutical industry associations,which can take part in the drug safety supervision and form the strong power with the government regulation,the market self-regulation and the self-discipline of the operators.However,the current development of China's pharmaceutical industry has to face many obstacles,the advantages of the pharmaceutical industry associations participating in the drug safety supervision has not played a greatest role under the government's leading drug safety supervision.This paper is based on the "third sector" and make the pharmaceutical industry associations as the breakthrough point,trying to solve the realistic predicament in the drug safety regulation of China and provide some valuable suggestions for the government which strives to strengthen the medical regulatory system of security.
