Survey Of Uighur Criminals Values

In order to determine whether the values of the offender are peculiar and whether the values are predictive of their crimes,we use the Rocky's Questionnaire to investigate the values of criminals who are serving sentences in the AKS prison and the DY High School students in the Tacheng area of Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region.SPSS software was used to analyze the above data by one-way ANOVA and Spearman rank correlation analysis.The results showed that:The Uighur criminals' ultimate value has a common difference with Uighur non-criminal and the Han criminals,like "national security","the peaceful world",the "beautiful world",the "self-esteem",the "freedom";There is a significant negative correlation between "the sense of achievement" and "beautiful world "," the peaceful world " and " wisdom "," freedom " and " selfesteem "," national security " and " self-esteem",There is a significant positive correlation between " self-esteem "," sincere Friendship " and " wisdom","national security" and imprisonment time.The instrumental values like "open mind","tolerant","help","polite" has a common difference with Uighur non-criminal and Han criminals;"capable" and "polite","Brave" and "tolerance" has a significant negative correlation;The relationship between ultimate and instrumental values is that "peaceful world" and "creative" has positive correlation,"peaceful world" "Tolerance","help","freedom" and "open mind","national security" and "open mind" is positively related.The ultimate values of the Uighur who violate property has the differences with Uighur non-criminals and the Han nationality,like the "peaceful world","freedom","national security"."National security" and "sincere friendship" has a significant negative correlation.Instrumental values like "help others","tolerant" has the differences with Uighur non-criminals and the Han criminals who violate property;"help others" and imprisonment time has a significant positive correlation.The relationship between ultimate and instrumental values is a significant positive correlation between "a sense of accomplishment" and "open mind","a peaceful world" and "helping others","freedom" and "openness" Self-esteem "and" help others "has a significant negative correlation.The ultimate value of the Uighur violent criminals "Peaceful world","national security" and the Uighur group of criminals,Uighur non-criminals there is a common difference."Selfesteem" has a significant negative correlation with "freedom" and "national security";"national security" has a positive correlation with imprisonment time.There is a significant negative correlation between "open mind" and "brave";the relationship between ultimate and instrumental values is "Peaceful world" is positively related to "tolerance",and "freedom" is negatively related to "brave","national security" and "creative".This shows that both the whole,the invading property,or the violent Uighur perpetrators,have different values with other people.Some of these values exist in the group in common.It can be said that Uighur perpetrators in the values of the existence of particularity.Individual special values are affected by imprisonment and can not be used to predict crime.Some special ultimate,instrumental values exist between the link.These links help to understand the impact of values on crime.
