Research On The Elderly Care Facilities Planning In Urban Area

Under the background of aging,elderly care facilities are of great practical significance.The construction and implementation of elderly care have been atracting the attention of the public and academic circle,and elderly care problem is ranked the forefront of social hotspots.Compared with developed countries,China has entered the aging society late with a significant trend,and elderly care facilities is not enough yet and lack of experiences.There are several problem about elderly care facilities,such as insufficient but the low utilization rate,support structure imbalance,infrastructure development,private enterprises,disruption in the implementation process.Planning and construction of elderly care facilities are really facing severe challenges.With the socialization of elderly care,the research on the elderly care facilities planning is an important issue in the field of urban planning.Based on the analysis of the features and the socialization process of elderly care facilities in China and current methods of facilities planning,this research get following point.Firstly,the methods of facilities planning are not well-prepared for socialization of elderly care.Secondly,facilities planning is divorced from implementation.Thirdly the resources for the elder people are in inadequately considered.Then the main care suppliers are not coordinated and the public participation is not perfect and so on.BY summarizing Thoeries relacted to the elderly care facilities planning and studying the outstanding cases,this research get five optimization strategies as following.First one is to build local elderly care system and facilities planning system.At the same time,integration fo the resources for the old and,optimal facilities spatial distribution is important.Besides,public participation can’t be ignored.This paper is divided into 6 chapters:The first chapter introduces the background,defines the research object and scope,review relevant researchs and experiences,and choose appropriate research methods,constructe research framework.The second chapter analyzes the development process of china’s elderly care facilities and summarizes the development characteristics,the trend of the elderly care facilities and the characteristics of elderly care facilities under those trend.The third chapter combs the basic methods of present elderly care facilities planning and the current problems of urban elderly care facilities.combined with two aspects,those problems are analyzed in depth.There are four main reasons contributing to this situations.They are imperfect planning methods,unsystematic planning,incompatible elderly resources and public participation.The fourth chapter gives six suggestions about the urban elderly care facilities planning.The fifth chapter focuses on the application of the strategy in the special planning of the elderly care facilities in Jiangbei district,ChongqingThe sixth chapter is the conclusion and outlook,and summarizes the main conclusions,shortcomings and the direction of optimization.
