A Study On The U-shaped Line Of The South China Sea In The Synchronie And Diachronie Perspective

Concept,is an objective grasp of the objective things which are fit into the scope of their own visual field,with certainty.But it also relies on its own situation of time-space,showing a different nature for us.A concept in its own language system has a given meaning and value,and it may not have the same connotation if it is put into another language system.Although it will be different with our interpretation of the concept because of differences time-space background,it hold appositions in space-time from beginning to end,which the initial understanding and definition we do,thus,to ensure the time-space position of the concept,is the premise and foundation for us to cognize the original meaning and value.On the debate of the South China Sea,it has become the focus of the legal struggle,which is called “U-shaped line of the South China Sea” by us.The Western opposition who translates interpretation of the U-shaped line of the South China Sea,is standing in the space-time background which is beneficial to their self-interest,and then the Chinese's intentions in the South China sea,must be misrepresent.Be established in the UNCLOS(in 1982,the International Conference on the Law of the Sea passed the Convention),these Western opposition make for using the concepts and rules to explain the South China Sea U-shaped line,but it early grows out of World War II.But China tends to restore the primary identity or intention,forming a long historical events of our own country.Both parties have different explanatory notes.This is due to their different standpoint,intention,social culture and other visible,between China and the West path,the length tension relation of annotation route behind the dispute in the South China Sea.Considering that the time is an significant dimension for us to study the problems of utterance.In this paper,we use the conceptions “synchronie” and “diachronie”,which are borrowed from Saussure's philosophy of language,and use them to explore the interpretation path of the South China Sea dispute between Chinese and Western,forming different perspective.Western opposition is to demonstrate the legal attribute of the U-shaped line in the South China Sea lay way of UNCLOS.Contrary,China is apt to restore the identity of South China Sea U-shaped line back in history.They form different Interpreting voice—synchronie and diachronie interpretation.Saussure's research method could help us to avoid the unscramble of the concept of "South China Sea U-shaped line" in space-time misplacement,that is the mirror image interpretation.Firstly,this paper introduces the support and method of the theoretical used in the problem research.And explains the scientific and important significance of Saussure's synchronie-diachronie about the core problem of the South China Sea dispute.Secondly,select the relevant writings and views of western scholars,and the Judgment content of South China Sea arbitration case,analysis the interpretation path of Western Scholars,and illustrate the logic defect of Western force,who attempts misrepresent the China's intentions in the South China Sea.Thirdly,on the basis of putting the defects of absolute synchronic discourse power,the paper explains the root cause,and then deliver the discourse energy in China.Finally,facing the situation of utterance can not docking effectively between China and western,the paper attempt to find the possibility and mode,which could merge the two kinds interpretation path,and bring forward some suggestions,including clear the nature and legal attribute of the U-shaped line in the South China Sea,under the joint action of the two interpretations.
