The Study On The Relationship Between Foundation's Entrepreneur Director And Fundraising Capacity

In recent years,the rapid development of Foundation has played an increasingly important role in the fields of public service and charities.As a key to the governance of Foundation,the boards of director is a necessary link between organizations and the external environment to exchange information,strive for support and maintain legitimacy.In theory,the entrepreneur director,due to his own resource endowments and rich experience in enterprise management,helps the Foundation to obtain resources.However,the improvement of organization resource is the result of multi-factor interaction,and entrepreneurship membership does not necessarily lead to the cross-border flow of resources.Therefore,in-depth study the mechanism of entrepreneur director on foundations fundraising capability and explore the factors that influence foundations fundraising ability have important value for Foundations to break resource constrain and improve organizational governance.Based on data from a sample of 198 foundations,by introducing resource dependence theory,this paper from six perspective of age,gender,degree,major,industry and position analyze the entrepreneur directors financing effects on Foundations.Results show that:age and degree have significant negative impact on fundraising capacity;gender has a significant positive impact on fundraising capacity;entrepreneur directors with financial professional background and entrepreneur directors come from Internet industry have positive impact on fundraising capacity;the higher of entrepreneur directors position,the stronger of their fundraising capacity will be.This paper also analyzes entrepreneur directors fundraising capacity from the aspect of donation type.The result shows that gender and entrepreneur directors from the Internet industry have significant positive effect on corporate donation;age and degree have significant negative impact on domestic donation.This paper puts forward some suggestions to improve entrepreneur directors'fundraising capacity.Firstly,perfecting the structure of the Foundation's boards of director;secondly,improving the incentive mechanism of the Foundation's entrepreneur director;thirdly,improving the Foundation's entrepreneur directors'professional level;finally,attaching great importance to entrepreneur directors with financial background.
