Study On The Contributing Factor And Prevention Methods Of Rural Juvenile Delinquency In Lin'an

With the development of the social economy,the juvenile delinquency problems in rural area has become one of the hindrances for social stability for it has impact on the construction of new socialist countryside and the realization of the building of moderately prosperous society.The interviews,visits and statistics from the related surveys in Linan City help the descriptive analysis of the status quo and features of the juvenile delinquency phenomena.The influencing factors that result in juvenile delinquency are finally revealed by investigating the elements respectively from oneself,family,society and school,and the corresponding precautions on preventing the juvenile delinquency in Linan City are put forward from the perspective of sociopsychology and crime typology.The findings are:(1)In recent years,there is a certain age and gender distribution of the juvenile delinquency in rural areas in Linan City,with the maximum number in 17-year-old,16-year-old ranking second,14-year-old and 15-year-old are comparatively fewer.Male juvenile delinquency rockets dramatically beyond female juvenile delinquency.(2)An inadequate education background is shown in the juvenile delinquency in rural areas in Linan City.More juvenile delinquency originate from the middle and primary schools students than the high school ones in Linan City.(3)Some commonness can be found in the professions of the criminals in rural area in Linan City.The majority of them are jobless which implies that unemployment fosters criminals.(4)Definite changes occur to the types of the juvenile delinquency.Theft used to be the major crime while currently various crimes are witnessed ranging from prostitutes to gambling and drug abuse.(5)A telling external feature is manifested in the source place of the criminals,and the non-local criminals account for a greater proportion.(6)The juvenile delinquency are subject to minor penalty.Most of them are sentenced less than 3 years in order to rectify themselves and correct their mistakes.(7)Criminal teams commit more crimes than individuals in rural area in Linan City.The variety and complexity plus with the modern e-communication has gradually arisen.(8)The reasons from oneself,family,school and society are all accountable for the juvenile delinquency.Most of the interviewees claim that the school has limited influences on the juvenile delinquency in rural area in Linan City,for the crimes have already brewed before the school provide sufficient education and constraints for the potential criminals.Based on the above results,this paper suggests:(1)Precautions should be taken from oneself,family,school and society.(2)Precautions of different methods should be encouraged in different types of juvenile delinquency,such as the dissemination of knowledge about the detriments of the internet crime helps to reduce the crime rate while more brochures should be encouraged for preventing the juvenile from committing crimes.
