The struggle against corruption has always been a constant problem for the world. The causes of corruption have also been widely concerned by the society and the academic community.Behind the repeated prohibition of corruption,on the one hand,it reflects the imperfection of the economic system and the legal system. On the other hand,it reflects the alienation of individual moral psychology.Although social norms and the legal system require us to "a good beginning makes a good ending",there are many real cases. Some of the dismissed officials "abandoned good from evil." As an emerging psychology concept, moral licensing considers that people have expressed themselves as a very ethical person in their previous behaviors, and may allow themselves to make unethical behaviors afterwards without concern. This theory provides a new path to study the inconsistency of the morality degree of individual behavior morality.According to this, some scholars believe that the moral licensing can be used to explain why some officials who have made contributions will appear to"abandoning good from bad" and leading to corruption.Based on real-life cases and academic research, after combing and summarizing the literature on the effects of corruption, moral licensing, and moral licensing on individual ethical decision-making behavior, this study hypothesizes that there is a moral licensing effect in individual corruption;there is a certain correlation between merits equal demerits psychology and the occurrence of corruption;in particular, the individual's level of merits equal demerits psychology will have a regulatory effect on the moral licensing effects of corruption. In order to test the hypothesis of the above ideas, this study designed a paper-pen experiment questionnaire, and by observing the experimental behavior memory task type, the independent variable, observed the subsequent tendency of corruption behavior of different groups of subjects, using the morality score of the context judgment test as the explicit score of the dependent variable, and the experimental adjustment variable was measured using the revised measure of the merits equal demerits psychology. Finally, the students of Zhejiang University were selected as the experimental subjects and completed a total of 277 person-times.After statistical analysis of the experimental data by SPSS 22,the following conclusions were drawn:Themerits equal demerits psychology level of self behavior in the decision-making process was significantly higher than the merits equal demerits psychology level of other people's behavior;for individuals with high self merits equal demerits psychology level, the moral licensing effects of corruption behavior are more likely to occur. The experimental data well validates the research hypothesis. After the data analysis, this study conducted a deeper discussion on the results of various data and put forward corresponding policy recommendations in light of the reality, with a view to benefiting the current anti-corruption work.
