President Xi clearly pointed out that it is necessary to adhere to the ideological and political construction of the army,adhere to the fundamental principles and systems of the party’s absolute leadership over the military,and ensure that the military is absolutely loyal,absolutely pure,and absolutely reliable.Absolute loyalty is the basic political character of the military and an important factor in the formation of military combat power.Recruiting new recruits is the main way for military personnel to renew.The level of loyalty of recruits is directly related to the overall level of loyalty of the military.The recruits’ training stage is an important stage for the new recruits to change from local ordinary youth to qualified military personnel.It is a critical and sensitive period for the formation of the sense of identity of the military.Introducing the perspective of psychology and combining the psychological rules of recruits to carry out loyalty cultivation experiments will help to improve the loyalty level of recruits.This study summarizes the literature on the connotation,structure,generation mechanism,influencing factors,cultivation theory,and loyalty cultivation of recruits.the status quo of recruits’ loyalty is investigated by using the "China Military Loyalty Scale" and " Armed Police Soldiers Job Satisfaction Questionnaire ".The results show that the loyalty level of recruits is higher than that of the whole military.The loyalty of recruits is positively correlated with job satisfaction(r=0.668,p<0.01).On this basis,combined with psychological attitude theory,demand hierarchy theory,motivation theory and so on,the five-stage theoretical model of recruit loyalty cultivation(cognition,identification,integration,internalization,sublimation)is proposed.According to the theoretical model,combined with the expert assessment and the actual situation of the recruits,a scientific and systematic "new recruit loyalty cultivation program" was developed.In this study,the experimental design of pre-test and post test in the experimental group and the control group was adopted.A two-month recruiting loyalty cultivation experiment was conducted at a recruiting training base.The experimental group was implemented according to the “new recruit loyalty cultivation program”,and the control group was implemented according to the original plan of the unit.The "Chinese Soldier Loyalty Scale" and the self-edited "Principal Official Evaluation Form" were used for quantitative analysis.The self-edited "Personal Harvest Table" was used to collect the harvest of the recruits at various stages of the experiment and conduct qualitative analysis.The results showed that the experimental group and the control group had 14 significant differences in the 16 evaluation indicators of the Chinese Military Loyalty Scale.Among them,on the object of loyalty,to the people of the party-state(t=3.79,p<0.001),occupation(t=3.22,p<0.01),unit(t=3.73,p<0.001),leadership(t=2.90,p<0.01),there are extremely significant differences among the four objects;in the loyalty dimension,there are significant differences in the remaining dimensions(10items)except for the continued loyalty dimensions of the units and leaders(2 items).The quality analysis of the recruits showed that the cultivation experiment was better and the recruits had a larger harvest.This study shows that loyalty cultivation has a significant effect on improving the loyalty level of new recruits,and the new loyalty cultivation program is scientifically feasible.The author also puts forward some thoughts on the practice of soldier loyalty training at the grassroots level.
