The Practice Of Community Correction For Juvenile Violent Crime

With the constant deepening opening in our country,community correction in most areas in China began to practice,and the achievements are significant.Community correction is extremely important to promote social development and to ensure social stability and harmony.The purpose of community correction is to make the correcting people return to society smoothly and recovering their social function and ability of self-reliance under the help of all part of society.Community correction not only has the nature of punishment execution but also has the nature of correction.These nature make the correcting people return to society positively in the case of not alienated from society.Community correction is a kind of welfare services under the guidance of social work value the professional social workers employ social work theory,knowledge,technology and method to offer the criminal(or persons with crime risk)and their families ideological education,psychological counseling,correct behavior,information consultation,employment training,life care and the social environment improvement,etc.during the period of trial,imprisonment,social place or rehabilitation,in order to make the criminals eliminate psychological structure,modify behavior patterns and adapt to the social life.With the further development of reform of society,community correction work has been paid more and more extensive attention and by government and the society,Chang Chun community correction work also has get constantly development,the demonstration project of community correction participated by the author is a good example of the combination of community correction with professional social work and this study has an significance to community correction development of social work in Chang Chun area.In this paper,we take the advantage of the opportunity of serving the objects of community correction of juvenile violent,through group work,questionnaire investigation,interview method and literature analysis method to make a need assessment and team service for the objects.Through consulting relevant literature related to learning theory to understand objects.By implement of social adaptation group activities,rebuilding family systems support group activities and psychological support group activities to meet the demand of objects and have an achievement of the positive return of the object to society.
