Study On The Influence Of Online Social Capital On Migrant Workers' Integration Into Urban Society

Migrant workers' integration into urban society is a key issue in the development of new-type urbanization in China,and also a hot topic for scholars.At present,the domestic scholars' researches on this topic involve the concept of it,the measurement of it,the influence of social capital on it,the influence of the Internet on it and so on.But few scholars have put social capital in the context of the Internet era and considered online social capital which uses the internet as its medium as a new type of social capital,analyzing the influence of online social capital on migrant workers' integration into urban society,which has provided a research opportunity for this paper.In this paper,the theoretical and empirical research methods are adopted,and the strong-weak relation theory,the Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory,the social integration theory and the social governance theory of urbanization are used as theoretical guidance.In the theoretical research part,through the analysis of papers about migrant workers' integration into urban society,social capital and online social capital and urbanization of migrant workers,this paper establishes the measurement indexes of online social capital and migrant workers' integration into urban society.In the empirical research part,this paper proposes five research hypotheses based on the theoretical research and designed the initial questionnaire accordingly.Then this paper forms the formal questionnaire by revising and eliminating inappropriate questions in the initial questionnaire according to the liability and validity of the initial survey data analyzed by SPSS22.0 and the on-site feedbacks.The formal research collects 320 valid questionnaires.In this paper,these five hypotheses are verified by the Pearson correlation analysis and the regression model.The results show that online social capital affects the urbanization of migrant workers significantly.Thereinto,the online social capital has impact on migrant workers' economic integration,behavioral integration and cultural integration,except the psychological integration.Finally,this paper puts forward suggestions on how to improve migrant workers' stock of online social capital according to the results of the empirical data research.
