Research On The Problems Of Community Services For The Aged In Northwest China From The Perspective Of Social Work

After the developed countries,China entered the “Silver Age Society”.As the family pension function weakened,and the number of old people who living alone,empty-nest,or disabled continued to increase,the traditional family pension and institutional pensions could not solve the increasingly severe pension problems.Home-based pensions have gradually become a major social pension model in line with China's reality.The key to the development of community-based home-based care services is to integrate old-age care resources into the community,and the community effectively integrates old-age care resources to provide support for family retirement.Then what are the problems facing the community in China's current practice of community home-based care? What role should the community play in elderly care services?This study,through the review of laws,policies,and literature on pension services at the current stage,summarizes the basic indicators of community home-based care for the elderly;it also analyzes the case of three cities in China that have relatively mature domestic community care services.Based on this,on-the-spot investigations were conducted on the L-city business community,institutional unit community,and urban resident community to understand how the community actually provided old-age care services.It was discovered that there is a community shortage in the L community's community-based elderly care services.The lack of supply of senior citizens and elderly services and the imbalance in the structure of old-age care services.Further analysis is based on the fact that the grass-roots community has unclear and unreliable ideas for the community's home-based care services,a single source of funds,lack of measures to integrate resources,and the lack of support from professional social service agencies such as social workers institutions.In order to solve the above problems and enable the community to play its role in community home-based care,it is necessary to clarify the orientation of the community and establishthree-in-one community service system for the care of the elderly in the community,and to adopt different service strategies based on different types of communities.The most important thing is to establish a trinity community service system for the elderly.
