Research On The Leisure Trait Of The “Class Teacher Workshop”

As early as two thousand years ago, philosopher Aristotle said, "Everything is rotating around a hub and the hub is leisure." Western scholars explored the source of the word "leisure" and found that leisure has a natural relation with education. People have also gradually realized that leisure plays an important role for the development of ourselves: leisure makes creativity, leisure makes virtue and leisure makes friendship. But now, education not only can't nourish and protect leisure, but also its attitude toward leisure is exclusive: “on the one hand, students and teachers can't have leisure, on the other hand, there is no leisure education".For that the working status of the class teachers nowadays is busy, tired and tense, their emotional state is negative and dried, their life state is single and dreary, and their training status is stiff and restrained, Dr. L and his team “class teacher workshop” promote the growth and development of class teachers, the formation of team and sense of belonging, and the construction of school cultural ecology, by means of the ingenious games, reading activities, class meetings with the subject of leisure, happy dinners, and annual carnival activities with the spirit and temperament of leisure such as aesthetics, nature, friendship, games, and flow.The main contents of this thesis:Firstly, by reflecting on the living status of the class teachers in the school and reviewing the literature about leisure, we pointed out that leisure has a natural relation with education, but in reality there are phenomena with the alienation of leisure and rejection from education toward leisure.Secondly, by interpreting “leisure” and discriminating “leisure” with “spare time”, it is pointed out that “leisure” has fuller and richer meaning comparing with “spare time” and leisure has an important value to the existence and development of human: leisure makes creativity, leisure makes virtue and leisure makes friendship.Thirdly, by introducing the specific activities such as games, carnival, reading parties and dinner parties and expounding the characteristics of the “class teacher workshop” such as smooth development pace, humorous speech style and harmonious interpersonal relationship, the spirit and temperament of leisure such as aesthetics, nature, friendship, games, and flow of the “class teacher workshop” can be interpreted.Finally, it is pointed out that the leisure culture trait of the “class teacher workshop” has very profound influence on the growth and development of class teachers, the formation of team and sense of belonging, and the construction of school cultural ecology.
