This study explores the current situation about uncertinties in junior English teaching. That is according with the development of English curriculum reform and English teaching theories. Meanwhile, it can stimulate enthusiasm and creativity of students, and advance the efficiency of learning and teaching in some extent.This dissertation mainly investigates in perspective of the current situation about uncertinties in junior English teaching. The author selected five junior high schools among all the junior schools in Enshi, Hubei province. The objects of study are the teachers in those five schools. And then the author conducted the study through questionnaire survey, classroom observation and teachers' interview. This study chiefly concentrated on four aspects, those are the teachers' acknowledgement of uncertinties in junior English teaching, the implementation of uncertinties in junior English teaching, the difficulties and influences of uncertinties in junior English teaching, and the plans of uncertinties in junior English teaching in the future. With all these four aspects considerated, we can have a more integrated picture of the current situation about uncertinties in junior English teaching in mind.Then I identify four kinds of findings:(1)A majority of teachers recognize the objective reality of uncertinties in junior English teaching, and also acknowledge that it can provide positive teaching elements and exert positive teaching influnces.(2)Most julior English teachers have carried out the practice in the course about uncertain teaching, but they performance very cautiously and they cann't put expertise to good use.(3)Junior English teachers have many dificulties in uncertain teaching, and those difficulties are effected by teachers themselves, junior high school students and teaching environment.(4)In the future, for the great part of the teachers plan to attempt to carry out the practice of uncertinties in junior English teaching.On this basis, the author puts forward five strategies to the practice of uncertinties in junior English teaching, those are as follows: Deepen the teachers' understanding of uncertinties in junior English teaching; Keep a good attitude and take an active part in carrying out the practice of uncertinties in junior English teaching; Persist in preparing lessons, and bring about unexpected shining sparkles; Enhance the communication and cooperation between teachers and finnally the school leaders create good conditions for teacher to carry out the practice of uncertinties in junior English teaching.
