As a general course in the specialty of martial arts and the national and traditional physical education,free combat courses combine theories and knowledge in technical courses.“Anchored instruction” is introduced into free combat courses in the paper with a view of studying and observing students' learning effect.Students will first have an outline of the knowledge and skills to be learned later through “anchored instruction”.There are three components in the “anchored instruction”.The first is situational establishments,which means that teachers guide students to form a framework of the learned knowledge in their mind on the basis of what they have learned by means of external media or the teachers' drills.The second is problem raising and solving.According to the situations teachers have created,students raise problems based on their own learning condition and then discuss and solve them together.The third is comments making.In the mode of “anchored instruction”,teachers' role has been transformed.They are not only responsible for imparting knowledge to students,but also form an interactive relationship with students.Students,however,become the active constructor of knowledge.In the specific “anchored” situation,they will actively find problems in their learning,analyze and explore them on their own and finally complete the due task through their concerted efforts.The paper mainly applies the literature method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method,experimental method and comparative method and so on.In the teaching experiment,the “anchored instruction” is adopted in the experimental class while the traditional teaching mode is used in the control class.As a result,the differences in teaching effects between the two kinds of teaching modes have been put forward through the knowledge of students' in the sports' college,the analysis of teaching theories and the reintegration of the research contents.Some conclusions are as follows after the experiment:(1)“Anchored instruction” and the traditional teaching mode can both help improve students' physical qualities.(2)Compared with the traditional teaching mode,“anchored instruction” can help improve students' specific performance more obviously,and better stimulate students' potentials.(3)If “Anchored instruction” is used in the sports' college,it can produce obvious effect than the traditional teaching mode in generating students' enthusiasm and initiative of learning,transforming their learning attitudes and enhancing their interest in learning and abilities of cooperative and autonomous study.
