Narrative Research On The Vocational College Counselors' Professional Life

There are many of researches on counselor professional development,but there is short of qualitative study of putting eyes on situation of counselors' daily life,including their behaviors and conditions.Therefore,this paper employs the narrative research approach,through a large number of first-hand information to show their real professional life,trying to explore the hidden education significance and the influence factors of affecting vocational college counselors' professional life.Therefore,the research could be of help to enhance counselors' work and happiness.This paper is constituted with introduction,main body,reflections and recommendation.Introduction part is about the research background,the purpose and significance,the theoretical value and practical value of the professional life of the vocational college counselors,the definition of core conceptions,the methodology,the literature review of the existing on the basis of the research topics of the research collegecounselors professional life,and the logic of narrative.Everyone is in a certain net,which is composed by time,space,and the relationships,so revolving around the life of education,organization,learning,reflection and study,collecting a large number of first-hand information form three aspects of time,space and relationship about the vocational college counselors 'professional life stories to show the vocational college counselors' knowledge structure,managerial skills,service awareness,level of research and professional ethics,then exploring the hidden education significance and the influence factors of affecting vocational college counselors' professional life,finally,giving proposals and suggestions.The body of this paper is composed by three dimension of time,space and relationship to show vocational college counselors' professional life.first,described how Mrs L took to the road of vocational college counselor,Mrs L 's day life scan,including work time and spare time,in order to show the process of Mrs L's personal quality and education concept.The space dimension of vocational counselors' professional life stories,from the natural space,the perception of space,the reproduction space three spatial dimensions described in the professional life of teachers.In the natural space,describers the physical environment and the counselor training system.The perception of space,describers the concept about thiswork.The reproduction space,describers the ability of Mrs L's reflection and creation.The relationship dimension of vocational college counselors' professional life stories,including interpersonal relationships,teachers and teachers,teachers and students,teachers and education theory.In a different relationship,vocational college counselors have different lifestyles.Reflections and recommendations.Firstly,reflecting the characteristics of the vocational college counselors' professional life.The vocational college counselors' professional life should be a process of realizing the value of life,their characteristics are creativity,autonomy,reflection,transcendence,continuity,purposiveness and so on.However,the fact of the vocational college counselors' professional life is monotonous,busy,repeated and insistent.Then,the whole research process,including the use of research methods,the good part and lost part of the whole study.Recommendations section,combining with external environment and inner hard working to help vocational college counselors to live a meaningful professional life.
