Complete teaching equipment plays an important role for vocational institutions, through it, high-quality teaching can be carried out, at the same time, training can be ensured smoothly. However, due to the late development of vocational schools, the corresponding research on management of teaching equipment is relatively weak, in the aspect of management of teaching equipment, the management mode is lagged, management tools are so single and equipment operation is at a low level of efficiency. Therefore, how to build a scientific and rational management system for teaching equipment to maximize utilization of teaching equipment according to the difficulties that exist in teaching management in vocational institutions at present is a very important issue, it is significant both in theory and in specific practice.This paper applies commonly used educational research methods such as literature research, experience summary and comparative research, and collects literature materials related to the teaching equipment management at home and abroad, which lays a foundation for the feasibility study of teaching equipment management. Taking foreign vocational schools as an example, with reference to their advanced experience of teaching equipment management, the main problems of teaching equipment management in vocational schools in our country have been found out, based on the problems, in this study, it is concluded that, in order to make full use of teaching equipment in vocational schools, first, to change the perception of teaching equipment management, adopt the more efficient two-level management mode, rationalize the relationship and distinguish the duties to maximize the role of service of teaching equipment, standardize the management system of teaching equipment to improve the configuration rationality of teaching equipment, then to establish a performance evaluation system, so that it can reflect the fairness and efficiency, in order to standardize the management of teaching equipment, the entire process of teaching equipment management will be indexed, including the preparation research before purchase of equipment, the routine maintenance management during the mid-term and the assessment on efficiency of the equipment etc., are quantified in digital form directly. Meanwhile, the process management of teaching equipment should be strengthened, the concept of preventive repair will be introduced, maintenance by all staff will be implemented, and "zero failure" of teaching equipment will be pursued to reduce the chance of post-maintenance, improve the scientific, normative and information level on management of teaching equipment. To ensure the sustainable development of vocational schools, improve the efficiency of teaching equipment management, the paper also proposes to strengthen the management team teaching facilities, enhance the sharing mechanism of teaching equipment to make schools and schools, schools and enterprises cooperate together, and have the social and economic benefits from the management of teaching equipment comprehensively improved.
