With the development of the curriculum reform, the history of biological science has become a important material while teaching the nature of science.Considering the method in improving the concept of nature of science in the world, it is obviously that using history of biological science in teaching is a main method for improving the concept.Some teachers from Nanchang, Ganzhou and Yichun of Jiangxi Province and students from three high schools in Fengcheng of Yichun was selected for this study. After analyzing the status of teaching of the biological history of science of the teachers and students, specific teaching strategies with history of nature of science was designed and employed for them. The status of the concept of nature of science was measured in the control class and experimental class. The validity of the strategies was assessed by analyzing the results of the status. The final results was as follows:The results of the teacher questionnaire of history of biological science indicated that it is not satisfied for the use of biological history of science teaching by teachers. Although most of the teachers admit the rich value of the biological history of science, many teachers also can not familiar with the content and value of the biological history of science. Teachers usually use the interpretation to convey the concept to students. Meanwhile, very single approach to acquire the documents of the biological history of science was employed by teachers. On the other hand, teachers can not find out the nature of science from the biological history of science, and they only consider the biological history of science as a method to improving the interest in learning of students. The results of the students' questionnaire demonstrate that, although most of the students think the biological history of science as a useful document for study, they can not understand the true value of the biological history of science. They think that the study for the nature of science was accept inefficiently by the way of interpretation.On the basis of above mentioned results, three teaching theme were confirmed by the analysis of the biological history of science in the compulsory course of textbook in high school. They are “The experiment one in the pea hybrid of Mendel”, “The discovery of the main genetic material, DNA”, “The discovery of the double helix structure of DNA”, respectively. Then, the teaching designs of the themes were used for the classroom teaching. After analyzing the results of the questionnaire of the control class and experimental class, although the mark of the concept of nature of science, the nature of science enterprise and the nature of science exploration has improved, there are no significant difference in the mark of the control class between the pre-test and after-test. This may be explained by the reason that the period of teaching practice was too short to take effect. Therefore, using the biological history of science to improving the concept of nature of science need to be employed for a long time due to the improvement is a step by step job.
