The New Curriculum Reform of progressive development of primary school English teaching also had a corresponding change in the teachers as the main perpetrators of the new curriculum. However, the status of public primary school English teachers of literacy and primary school English curriculum implementation requires a greater distance. The paper use several key literacies for primary school English teachers to make an empirical investigation and analysis.The full text is divided into four major sections:The first chapter questions and literature review, the purpose and significance of this study and research methods will be described.The second chapter analysis the literature in theory, combined with the "National primary school English curriculum standards" in the English teacher literacy system architecture, make the key literacies for primary school English teachers.The results of the questionnaire survey and interviews in the third chapter based on the data analysis for Pingxiang public primary schools. According to the analysis, public primary school English teachers almostly are good, but the key qualities are lacking.In the fourth chapter relevant conclusions will be draw based on the result of investigation and analysis on it. On the one hand, teachers need to have a wealth of English Teaching Practice of consciousness, on the other hand, teachers should have some professional specialized training in English and teaching profession. The combination of both is an effective way to improve the quality of primary school English teachers.
