| With the rapid development of information society,information technology has not only brought opportunities and challenges to education,but also brought profound changes in it.As an educator,the level of teachers’ information literacy is the key to whether information technology can promote the development of education and realize educational informatization.Especially for English itself,the combination of English teaching and information technology is more and more common.The use of information technology,whether listening,speaking,reading or writing,can strengthen the teaching effect.Therefore,the improvement of information literacy level of English teachers in primary schools is particularly important for teaching.Therefore,it is of great significance to study and improve teachers’ information literacy for educational reform and the realization of educational informatization.In order to understand the information literacy development of primary school English teachers in the information background,the author selects a primary school in Yinchuan city to conduct an interview survey,analyzes the problems according to the results of the survey,and puts forward the strategies to solve them accordingly.On the basis of consulting a large number of literature on information literacy,combined with field investigation,In this study,the information literacy of primary school English teachers is summarized into three aspects:the basic information literacy of teachers,the information literacy of English teaching and the information literacy of teachers’ independent development.The former includes information consciousness,information knowledge,information ability,information ethics,and other basic information literacy that teachers should possess as a modern citizen.The latter involves the information knowledge and ability that teachers should have in the real English teaching,including the information literacy of English subjects,information application literacy and the literacy of teaching information acquisition.Teachers’ independent development literacy includes scientific research information literacy and lifelong learning information literacy.The research result showed that currently,the overall information literacy level of primary school English teachers was relatively strong,and the information awareness and information knowledge were desirable,however,the high-level information capability and scientific research level were weak and needed to be improved.Part of English teachers needed to be improved for their English information literacy.Via design of interview outline and classroom observation scale by the research,it was discovered that the key factors affecting the information literacy improvement of primary school English teachers mainly included lack of emphasis for school management,unconsummated information facility,poor information literacy training effect for current teachers,busy teaching tasks of the teachers and undefined evaluation system.As for the above-mentioned problem,the strategy to improve the information literacy of primary school teachers was out forward from five perspectives including school management system,information facility,teacher training,teaching task and evaluation system.Through the research and analysis of the subject,the paper strives to provide feasible suggestions and strategies for improving the information literacy of English teachers in the primary school,so as to continuously enhance the overall quality of the English teachers,raise the teaching effect and teaching efficiency of them. |
