Farming cultivation biological activity course is a series of crop planting principle knowledge and practical activity curriculum, which taking advantage of local resources in rural areas, putting the crop production knowledge and junior middle school biology knowledge together. Based on the overview of the concepts and research progress of biological activity curriculum and farming cultivation, this paper conducted a questionnaire survey on the biology teachers and students of junior middle school in Zengcheng District of Guangzhou City. In order to practice and research the effectiveness of the farming cultivation biological activity course in rural junior middle school,we took the seventh grade students of the Paitan No.3 Middle School as the research object.The survey results of biology teachers and students in junior middle school showed that: the ratio of junior middle schools to carry out the biological activity class was not high, because there was no uniform standards or requirements for the schools to carry out the biological activity course, the carrying out biological activity course or not was rely on the school curriculum arrangement and the teachers' teaching methods. All the biology teachers who were surveyed from junior middle school and more than 70% of the students thought their schools need to set up biological activity course. The students hoped to carry out activities or visit some places which are related to extracurricular biology education knowledge. What's more, the biology status, the level of teachers and the testing pressure were the restricting factors for teachers to carry out biological activity course.On the basis of the questionnaire from teachers and students in junior middle school, combining the advantages of rural land resources and crop resources, we carried out the cultivation of crop production as the theme of farming cultivation biological activity course in rural junior middle school. Through the comparative experiment of farming cultivation biological activity course in four seventh grade classes from the Paitan No.3 Middle School and students interview, the results showed that: through learning farming cultivation biological activity course, students not only improved their individual farming knowledge and ability, but also promoted the knowledge of biology learning interest and achievement level. Students can applied the knowledge principles to life practice, took the initiative to understand the situation of agricultural production in hometown. they were proud of the achievements made in hometown and willing to contribute to the development of agriculture.This topic research has practical significance in the countryside junior middle school biology teaching, carrying out farming cultivation of biological activity course not only enhance the students farming cultivation knowledge and ability, improve the interest and efficiency of students learning biology, but also initially form rural campus features of biological activity curriculum.
