In the information age, the developmen of personal?social and education will face many challenges. In response to these challenges, China 's basic education is trying to"knowledge - based" era toward the "key competence" era, which learn from the advanced experience of international curriculum reform. activity instruction based on the concept of "Focusing on Students",and it regard the students' main activities as the main form. During the teaching process, activity instruction encourages students to take the initiative to participate, explore, think and practice. In order to cultivate biological key competence, teacher implement activity instruction in biology classroom can make classroom more lively. When students participate in innovative activities that are interesting or inspiring, they can gain knowledge, master skills, and the experience emotion, the spirit of comprehending will more profound.The article written for the cultivation of biological key competence, did the preliminary research of "biology activity instruction". This paper is made up of five parts.The first part is introduction, introducing the research background and the research ideas,identifies the methods used in this paper, states the research contents, and discussing the meaning of "biology activity instruction" from several aspects, such as the theory of"biology activity instruction", the innovative of teaching form, the transformation of teaching and learning. The second part is document analysis. Discussing the present situation of the activity instruction, did some concepts definition, these concepts include"key competence","activity instruction","activity instruction in biology",and so on. The third part is an overview of "biology activity instruction". Expound the three types of"biology activity instruction",and try to build the Models of experiential activity instruction, inquiry - based activity instruction, problem - solving activities teaching, put forward the "biological activity instruction" design principles, and discusses the significance of biology teaching from the perspective of the cultivation of biological key competence. The fourth part is mainly based on the cultivation of biological key competence, did some activity design of high school biology, and the types of activity includes experiential activities teaching, inquiry activity instruction, problem-solving activitiy teaching, and then analyze these cases. The fifth part is based on the cultivation of biological key competence, put forward the thinking of biology teaching , and did the summary of the results and the insufficient of this study. Among them, the "biological activity instruction" can promote the cultivation of student's biological key competence,summarized as the following four points: to help individuals form a life awareness and views; help individuals to establish the concept of life and life Contact; help individuals to improve the ability of scientific inquiry; help individuals to establish social responsibility.
