With the continuous development of society, the status of the secondary vocational education gradually highlights, secondary vocational education is an important component of China's vocational education system. Under the background of increasing degree of information technology, secondary vocational education carries out teaching reform actively in order to achieve the transition from emphasis on cultivate students'knowledge of literacy to the ability accomplishment. In spite of computer network technology education as a comparative cutting-edge discipline in the secondary vocational education, there are still a large gap between the professional skills of the students and the level of employment needs of businesses. The reason for this phenomenon specifically includes lacking of professional characteristics in the teaching content, improper positioning of teaching objectives, the fragmentary system of teaching evaluation, the single teaching methods and approaches, etc.To solve the problems mentioned, this study selected secondary vocational education specified materials computer network foundation, according to several chapters in the teaching material, to put forward specifically instructional design of knowledge visualization, and extracted two parallel classes of computer application major as subjects to study for one month at Rizhao of Shandong Province. Through the experimental teaching and test, to collect data, and finally analysis data to come to the conclusion to verify the effectiveness of knowledge visualization in the computer network foundation course. The study results show that using knowledge visualization tools in computer network foundation course has played an important role, which can help students to understand the complex network definition and the abstract knowledge. Knowledge visualization promote the externalization of tacit knowledge, the vivid of explicit knowledge, so as to arouse learners' interest in learning, to promote effective learning. Meanwhile, the study also enrich the theoretical basis of knowledge visualization, opened up a new application field for knowledge visualization.
