According to the development of music culture and social music education of Jinan City in recent years, the investigation and study of social art training institutions, piano teachers, students, parents, social piano grading test and piano competition of Jinan City are conducted. Through a variety of methods(such as field investigation, questionnaire survey), the types of piano education, the status of education and teaching, the level of teachers, activities of social piano education have a more comprehensive understanding. The children social piano music education of Jinan City is divided into four types: piano lessons of public art school, piano lessons of the school of education organized by government departments, piano lessons of private art educational institutions and piano lessons of private family teaching. In this paper, the main research is the third kinds of piano lessons of private art educational institutions, namely social children piano education. The innovation point of this paper is to fill the blank of the research on the status quo of the children piano education in Jinan City. Through the investigation of private art training institutions and analysis questionnaire of the piano teachers, students and parents, some problems can be found in Jinan city society children piano education, such as imperfect system, shortage of excellent piano teacher, unreasonable textbooks, lack of teaching organization form, teaching methods and teaching contents and so on. According to the problems in the survey, reasonable suggestions and countermeasures are put forward to the art training institutions, piano teachers, students' parents and the relevant departments respectively. The results of investigation and analysis are not only conducive to the education department of Jinan city to pay attention to the problems existing in the current social children piano education, but also have reference significance to the social piano education in other regions of ShanDong province.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction, the research background, research significance, research methods and research objects.The second part introduces the general situation and significance of social children piano education in Jinan city.The third part is the research and analysis of the current situation of Jinan social children piano education, including the social arts training institutions, the piano teachers, students, parents and social music activities in Jinan city. Through the field investigation, questionnaire and other forms, the current situation has been further understood, and the problem in the survey is summarized.The fourth part puts forward some feasible suggestions for the current situation of Jinan children piano education to the art training institutions, piano teachers, parents, and social responsibility departments respectively.The fifth part is the conclusion, summarizes the full paper, and contributes strength to the development of Jinan society children piano education.
