With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,cultivate comprehensive talents become a important target in the New Secondary Education.Study and practice on integrated curriculum is also increasingly critical.There are many elements of the integration between geography and many other subjects because of its comprehensive discipline nature.Based on the "scientific property" of geography,this paper researchs on the role played by mathematical knowledge in geography teaching.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is an introduction and literature summary.Outlined the research background, research methods and research status of this paper.The sceond part is the questionnaire analysis.By using the method of questionnaire,the author researches the geography teacher’s perspectives and their own actions on making use of mathematical knowledge in geography teaching.According to the questionnaire conclusion,the "earth movement" part is determined as the main research content.The third part is the main thrust of this paper.This part conclud the complies the specific content of mathematical knowledge,gives specific case studies in order to provide reference for geography teachers,and raise the problems that should be attention in education practic.The last part is the conclusion.It combs and summarizes this study’s process of research and makes some reflections and expectations.
