As an important aspect of English teaching, English writing reflects the learners' English language skills to a large extent. Therefore, it is very necessary to explore an effective way to improve students' English writing abilities. With the expansion of people's thinking and cognition, there are more and more new ideas and thoughts around the world, among which peer feedback has attracted a good many scholars' attention. And it has been gradually applied to the field of English writing teaching, which has become a vital research topic.Peer feedback is one of the important forms of feedback. In recent years, with the deep development of the people-oriented philosophy of education and the student-centered teaching theory, peer feedback aroused many scholars' increasing attention, and it is becoming more and more useful in English writing teaching. As a result, it is a very important task to explore the application of peer feedback in English writing teaching. The aim of this research is to study the application of peer feedback in the teaching of high school English writing, which provides a reference for other high school English teachers in using peer feedback. The specific research questions are as follows: 1) What are students' attitude towards peer feedback in English writing? 2) What influence will peer feedback have on students' English writing level?The research adopts comparative analysis method, taking two parallel classes of Grade Two from Yong Cheng Senior High School as experimental subjects. One class is the experimental class, which is chosen to be taught with peer feedback. The other class is the controlled class, which adopts the traditional methods in teaching. The experiment will last about ten weeks. Before the experiment, all the subjects attend a pre-test, and at the end of the experiment, they also need to have a post-test. However, the students in the experimental class need to conduct a questionnaire and interview. The results of the research have showed that 1) Most of students hold a positive attitude towards the application of peer feedback in English writing, while teacher feedback plays the role of supplement. 2) Peer feedback has a positive impact on the improvement of students' English writing level. It is an effective way to improve the students' English writing skills, especially in grammar and vocabulary. Meanwhile, it can help students enrich their textual contents and better the textual structure to some extent. Therefore, it is beneficial to apply peer feedback to English writing teaching in senior high school.
