In the report of the 17 th National Congress,CPC put forward a new proposition “The Popularization of Marxism in Contemporary China".After that,at the 18 th National Congress,it emphasized the "Sanitization,Modernization and Popularization of Marxism" once again;meanwhile,it also stressed the problem of theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics to be revealed in teaching material,in classroom and in mind.The new judgments,ideologies and deployments reflect new requirements to colleges,that is,colleges should not merely research the theory of Marxism in contemporary China systematically,but also give a deep exploration in the problem of how Marxism can be turned into practice,namely,finding the way of making the contemporary Chinese college students understand,accept,approve,believe in and practice even propagate Marxism positively.As the major carrier of popularization of Marxism in colleges,college's ideological and political theory course shall implement its main ‘channel function' in the process of Marxism popularization.Based on new situation of Marxism popularization in colleges and via questionnaires including 34 universities,the author thoroughly combs the condition that Marxism popularization function of ideological and political theory course(in the following,it is referred to as IAPT course)facing in its working process,and deeply analyzes the questions and roots of factors influencing the Marxism popularization function.Through the investigation and study,the thesis will first leave first-hand data and objective material for Marxism popularization function of IAPT course and its related researches and further improve the research system of IAPT course's function,second,according to the appeal from teachers and students and the existing problems,the author will find effective ways for promoting the Marxism popularization function of IAPT course,this will fasten the process of Marxism popularization in colleges,simultaneously,it will provide theoretical support for the reform and creation of IAPT course.The introduction of relevant theories of IAPT course's Marxism popularization function.On this chapter,the author explains several related theories: college's Marxism popularization,IAPT course,and the theoretical basis,specific performance and implement standard of IAPT course's Marxism popularization function,also deduces its scientific connotation,namely,as the major carrier of colleges' Marxism popularization,the ideological and political theory course has social ability,responsibility and utility,which are mainly embodied in helping college students understand,accept,approve,believe in,practice and propagate the Marxism.The performing situation of IAPT course's Marxism popularization function.Through the sorting and analyzing on the data from questionnaires,the author obtains basic conclusions: IAPT course's Marxism popularization function is fully recognized by teachers and students,but the effect of Marxism popularization function is unsatisfactory,mainly performing in the leading of IAPT course for students' affection to Marxism and firm belief is not enough and the driving-power of practicing and propagating Marxism is not strong which cause the Marxism popularization function still remaining in a lower level.Analysis on the factors influencing the Marxism popularization function problems and reasons.Based on the questionnaires' data,combining the relevant researches of academic,the author thoroughly combs the problems existing in the performance of Marxism popularization function and the reasons of causing these problems: a,the blurred consciousness of teachers results in the colleges Marxism popularization lacking core powers;b,the non-standard content of course lowers efficiency;c,the single teaching method shelters Marxism it self's charm;d,the overall poor performing of practical teaching leads to Marxism herding into the brain and heart;e,the teaching-assessment not fits the law of Marxism popularization;f,the inadequate analysis on learning situation increases difficulty on the popularization of Marxism;g,the imbalance focus on levels causes the embarrassing situation in the transmitting Marxism.The promoting ways of IAPT course's Marxism popularization function.This chapter insists on problem-oriented and goal-oriented and focuses on the big picture of building IAPT course's education and teaching,puts forward seven aspects to promote the IAPT course's Marxism popularization function: strengthening the construction of IAPT course's teaching team;deepening the reform of IAPT course's education and teaching;enriching education methods and classroom teaching means;perfecting quality–testing and comprehensive evaluation system;stressing the analysis on learning condition of Marxism theory;integrating the Marxism popularization power outside the classroom;optimizing the overall environment of IAPT course's classroom.
