The background which learning ability of peasants is highly regarded requires a rural learning community to play its realistic role but also needs effective and diverse rural learning community patterns to solve the various problems of rural society. Rural learning community aims to create a humanistic, educational, life-oriented new rural communities which takes learning as the core, takes the rural community as the geographical supporting, combines all community resources and faces all community members to integrate the members' learning with development of community. Rural learning community is characterized by the combination of a personal vision and a shared vision, the combination of infinite time and space and openness of learning, the combination of learning and life. The construction of rural learning community is based on learning organization theory, life education theory and theory of communicative action. Rural learning community can promote traditional rural villages to transform into modern rural learning community, promote the all-round development and life's quality of peasants, promote rural culture's heritage and innovation and the construction of rural's spiritual civilization.I hope to find something common and universal from the relevant research and to classify the patterns of rural learning community with domestic and foreign practices. Currently, there are three patterns including government-led pattern, cooperation of school and community pattern and social growth pattern. Government-led pattern means the government is a direct driving force for constructing rural learning communities; with learning -production function and social management function; with the advantages of a strong external protection, effective integration of resources and effective supervision; but with the limitations of insufficient strain capacity, low enthusiasm of the participants, too much emphasis on economic and political needs; therefore recommends that the government to strengthen the security of rural learning community, appropriate decentralization and separation of powers, emphasis on the humanistic temperament and cultural core. Cooperation of school and community pattern refers to the school and community are double subjects for constructing rural learning communities; with improving quality of life and sharing resources functions; with the advantages of a natural learning site and community education personnel, promoting knowledge dissemination and new resources development; but with the limitations of how to correctly grasp the "degree" of cooperation, big pressure of rural schools and teachers, weak impact; therefore recommends the establishment of security system of cooperation of school and community, linking and integrating all resources. Social growth pattern refers to the active participation of multiple subjects for the rural learning community; with the continuation of rural culture and enhancement of community cohesion functions; with the advantages of respecting the learner's consciousness, diversity of learning content and learning media; but with the limitations of a lack of institution and norms, could easily lead to utilitarianism education; therefore recommends to strengthen management and standards, to protect the participants' enthusiasm, to inherit and innovate rural culture.
