The process of students take notes is that they encode what they have learned.Students link old knowledge and new knowledge imitatively and format migration.Meanwhile,taking notes also can help students to foster self-learning ability and good learning quality."Curriculum standards of Junior High School English " in the "learning strategies" part points out that students should be good at grasping the focus,taking notes and organizing what they have learned in the process of learning.Therefore,to develop the habit of taking note hasvery important significance for students' study.However,the current status thatjunior school students record and use English notes is not optimistic.So it is necessary to study and improve it.The study is based on information processing theory and meta cognitive theory and integrates use of literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and text analysis method.The study questions 300 students,interview six teachers and ten students and analysis some books and notebooks.The study from five dimensions to research the status of junior middle school students recording and using English notes that are attitude,method,content,using,effect and conduct.According to the results of questionnaires and interviews,the study analyzes the problems of notebook's recording and using,then explores the reasons and puts forward some feasible suggestions combining relative theory and actual situation of junior middle school students to take notes.The study includes six parts.The first part is introduction,mainly including the question proposed,the research significance,the notes review at home and abroad,notes theoretical foundation and the definition of notes concept.The second part describes methods that used in this study.The third part describes the survey results that include questionnaires' results and interviews' results.The fourth part was based on depth analysis of the questionnaire and interview's results to find out problems of students recording and using English notes and analyzes the causes.The fifth part puts forward corresponding suggestions according to the problems of junior middle school students recording and using English notes.The sixth part summaries and reflects this study.
