�Bringing up sons to support parents in their old age� is a tradition concept in China in thousands years. As the saying goes, the old cow is afraid to be thin, old people is afraid to be poor, the most scared thing is old people without children. Since the 1970 s, the family planning policy: "delayed marriage and childbearing,,eugenics, one couple with one child" is practiced in China. Inspired by "having only one child is best and the government gives pension", the one-child policy achieved good results, effectively controlled the excessive growth of the population, and to some extent eased the pressure of population on the environment and resources. However, over time, various social problems were generated by the one-child policy and gradually be highlighted. especially in rural and suburban areas of the city, these problems included the aging of the population, village in the hollow, empty nester and so on. One of the most tragic and unfortunate is that there are a large number of families that when they bereft of their only child which are due to various their lives would be in trouble and the spirit has nearly collapsed. According to the population of the census data, there exist 218 million families which have only one child, among which, there are ten million and ninety thousand children will die before the age of 25. Thus, in the future, there will be 10 million �loss of independence family� in China.With the increasing number of this group, the government and the community have become more concerned about the group. National population and Family Planning Commission and the Ministry of finance "about issued the national one-child disabled death family support system of the pilot scheme notice" of population [2007] No. 78 documents issued and the provinces for family planning assistance to needy families special efforts will continue to strengthen, it has helped to alleviate the difficulties of the loss of independence family. However, from the current situation of the rural family pension, medical and mental problems did not be solved, they have to face the dual pressures of life and psychological needs.Around this topic, the author will start from the related policy and theory analysis and select the loss of independence families in the part of the county and suburban rural in Jiujiang. And this paper will develop the study of this group of segments from two angles: the permanent and temporary loss of independence family. By consulting a large number of documents, this paper targeted selection of various types of loss of independent families to visit, and used the Internet to collect and reflect the reality of their respective groups living situation and needs. A profound analysis of this phenomenon by the internal and external factors will be followed and the lack of support path exists, then combining the current situation of domestic and foreign advanced experience to explore the accurate support ways to solve the dilemma of the special groups.
