In a traditional classroom,as the role of knowledge initiators, teachers were always in a dominant position,and the students are the passive recipients of knowledge.Due to the limited classroom time and completed needs of specific teaching task,it's difficult for teachers to pay more attention to students' collaborative learning,autonomous learning and inquiry learning ability training. With the informatization of education technology,the emergence of network teaching platform have make it possible to provide a good web-based inquiry learning environment.Practicing the new junior-high school geography curriculum standard,cultivating students' inquiry ability and improving their comprehensive qualities,these new teaching platform can be a useful supplement to traditional classroom teaching.This study aims to design and put the localized WISE inquiry projects into practice on geography curriculum with Web-based Collaborative Inquiry Teaching Method,test and verify the feasibility of this new web-based teaching platform in improving students' comprehensive quality and the teaching effect.Supported by Humanistic Theory,Situated Cognition Theory and Constructivism Learning Theory, this study chose geography curriculum teaching in junior middle school as the trial course and students in class 8 as research objects.First,this study made a comprehensive analysis about the students' ability cognitive characteristics,existing knowledge and experience,then designed a series of teaching activities on the WISE platform according to the inquiry learning process framework, At last,made a analysis of data from the collection of the teaching effect through the questionnaire investigation. In view of the existing problems,this article put forward Following recommendations: expand this kind of study practice to other disciplines;strengthen quantitative research about the students' learning behavior in using the network platform;strengthen teachers' Follow up training of modern educational technology.The specific content of this paper can be divided into five parts.Part 1:mainly discusses the background, research purpose and significance, contents and methods, and current research situation at home and abroad of this study.Part 2:summarized the related concepts and basic theoretical principles;Part 3: designed and practiced the WISE projects by using its features and advantages, and combined with the analysis of teaching content and academic situation,and designed the questionnaire ?which aims to testing students' understanding for inquiry learning and the ability of inquiry learning;Part 4:first,designed the questionnaire ? which testing the situation of basic knowledge learning, ability of knowledge application and synthesis problem solving;second,designed the questionnaire ? which investigate the identity of the students use wise platform during have geography lesson;third,used the Star Questionnaire and SPSS statistical tools to collect and analyze the data;last,gave the related solutions about the existing problems; Part 5:summary,reflection and prospect of this study.By the teaching practice and data analysis,This study has proved that this new web-based collaborative and inquiry teaching method would be helpful to deepen the student's understanding and application of basic knowledge, enhance classroom interaction atmosphere,enhance students' language skills, broaden students' thinking and enhance the teaching effect,which is also an effective way to cultivate students' comprehensive quality. Therefore,It is valuable to put this kind of study into other lessons.
