Throughout the teaching situation of our primary and secondary school teachers in the classroom,their teaching language has mixed results,generally showing a low status.It is found that the main problem lies in the unreasonable design of the teachers' language,the deviation of descriptive language,the misleading to students because of the incorrect language and eve the emergence of language confusion,lack of logic and other shortcomings.In this context,this paper has made an in-depth study of teachers' language,based on the theory of IRF discourse analysis.After referring to lots of relevant literature and writings,the author found that the research object of this theory mainly focused on the disciplines of language,such as English and Chinese.But there's still relatively scarce for the other non-linguistic subjects like biology.The biology in junior high school is not only the starting point of the biology discipline,but the basis of biology in senior high school,which has an indispensable role in the two beginning period.So the author takes the biology of junior high school as an example to do some related research.In this paper,it analyzes the biology teachers' language of junior high school under the theoretical framework of IRF discourse analysis.Here are the three aspects:1.Conversational structure factor analysis: during the classroom teaching,there are three procedures,that is,Initiation Move,Response Move,and Feedback or Followup Move,which consist of the conversational structure factor of IRF discourse analysis.They was classified,according to the structure of conversation between teachers and students,to analyze which conversational structure has a better teaching effect.2.Conversational unit analysis: analyze the different effects of classes with efficient or inefficient teaching language through a number of conversational units comprised of teachers' inspiration,students' response and teachers' feedback.3.Conversational mode analysis: under the classroom teaching,the impartment of each knowledge point can be seen as a plot unit.In this process,the conversational mode is the conversational sequences composed by multiple IRF conversational session,including the transition of conversational unit type and the interface between them.Based on the analysis of the language of junior high school biology teachers,the author conducted the relevant practical application.With three biology teachers as the practical objects and nine classes as a sample of teaching practice,this paper further summarize and reflect the result of this study,through comparing and analyzing the teaching videos before and after the changing of teaching language combined with the acquired data from the study of scale,in order to put forward some suggestions to relevant education sectors and the teachers at schools.
