Recently,Chinese economics develops rapidly,jilin city is the second large one in jilin province.The life of the citizens is improved a lot than before.More people find a way to keep healthy in their free time.Therefore,community sports appears.It is a kind of brand new group sports.Gradually,it becomes the most important for people to exercise.We give the suitable ways and suggestions to make it develop quickly by studying and discussing community sports situation in jilin and combining the local society and economical development.So we can make jilin's community sports develop to the direction of science,variety and rationalization.We study the development of community sports,investigate the participants of it,adopt the methods of documentary,the questionnaire survey method,expert interview method,mathematical statistic method and logical analysis to finish studying.And the results are following.? The main participants are retirees who are more than fifty-one years old.The females are more than males.The whole level of qualification is a little lower.And they are short of the knowledge of exercise.? The qualification of the people in charge is high,mainly is junior college education or above.The main form of community activities is spontaneous of citizens.The funds mainly comes from self-sufficient or membership dues.? In summer,the participants usually take a walk,jog and dance in the square.In winter,they also take a walk and jog,but at the same time a lot of people join in skating and skiing.In summer,people take part in the sports usually in the evening,but in the morning and in the afternoon in winter.? The citizens in the community take part in the sports three times or four every week,and each time for about one or two hours with their relatives or friends in the park or the square.Half of them spend nothing on exercising,and one third of them spend within 100 yuan every month on it.? The equipment of sports in jilin city is so lacking,and a lot of equipments are ageing,but they are not repaired on time.There are no equipments in a lot of communities.These problems are eager to be dealed with.? The number of athletic directors in the community is too small.There is no one in 70% of the communities.The athletic directors root in the retirees and sports activists.
