With competency being valued gradually,the achievement of it has gradually penetrated into the development of human resource management.The build of competency has a major role in recruiting,training,compensation&boon management,performance management and other modules of human resource management.In recent years,people raise higher request and expectation to the quality and efficiency of workers in the university.College office which services to leaders directly contacts the coordination of the internal and external would bear the brunt.Office leaders'overall quality plays a decisive role to improving the effectiveness of the office work.Therefore,this study will explore competency of office leaders in universities with applying competency methods and theories to human resources managementOn the basis of reading related literatures,building research framework and putting forward three hypothesis:1.The competency of office leaders in universities is a multi-dimensional structure.2.Contextual performance of office leaders in universities consists of job dedication and interpersonal promotion.3.The competency of office leaders in universities plays a key role in forecasting the contextual performance of office leaders.Methods and steps of this project are as follows:1.Expanding the questionnaire of "competency vocabulary of office leaders in universities",with 202 teachers and students of 7 colleges in wuhan area as the object of the research,determine 19 competency vocabulary which make up the structure of competency of office leaders in universities.2.Defining the 19 ompetency vocabularies precisely with reading related literatures,establishing"competency content questionnaire of office leaders in universities"to survey 281 staff of 10 colleges in wuhan area.Building a four-dimensional competency of office leaders in universities through the analysis of valid data.3.Use software SPSS 19.0&AMOS21.0 to carry on correlation and regression analysis,exploring whether or not the competency of office leaders in universities plays a key role in forecasting the contextual performance of office leaders.We draw some conclusions through the research:1.Competency of office leaders in universities is four-dimensional,including proactive personality,management capability,professionalism,values;2.Contextual performance of office leaders in universities is two-dimensional,which consists of job dedication and interpersonal promotion.3.The competency of office leaders in universities plays a key role in forecasting the contextual performance of office leaders.
