Language not only confers meaning to the ideological and political education, but also functions as the carrier to transmit its contents. The appropriate employment of language art by middle school teachers plays a decisive role in facilitating the effect of ideological and political education. Based on the teaching practice in middle school, this paper analyzes the language art of ideological and political education through the method of the typical case studies. The innovative point of this study lies in taking the language use of the ideological and political teachers as the object of examination through different research perspective from the previous studies.The content of this study is divided into three parts. Part one analyzes the status and role of the language art in the teaching of the ideological and political lesson in middle school. Part two expounds the basic requirements for the use of language art. The last part makes a detailed description to the skills of using language arts in middle school lesson of ideology and politics. These three chapters discuss respectively the role, requirements and skills of the language arts and these three factors complement and facilitate each other. It finds that the clear, precise, vivid and beautiful language use can not only elaborate the relatively boring and abstract teaching content concisely and directly, but also moves the students so as to produce some powerful motivation and profound impact. Only in this way, can the contents of ideological and political education sink into the heart of students to help formulate their healthy value orientation and behavior norms, which are necessary for them to become the successor and builder of the socialism with Chinese characteristics.
