Universities and colleg es are im portant institutions for cultivating high level talent, which undertakes im portant responsibilities of conveying high-end talents for national education career. College Physical Educatio n is an important department for training professional sports talents, while gym nastic sports is the mother of all the spor ts, which occupies an important position in the excellent sports talent cultivation. The characteristics of gymnastics teaching activ ities determines special requirement for gymnastics teaching environment, gymnastics teaching environm ent plays an particularly important ro le on the gymnastics teaching effect. Gymnastics teach ing environment is an im portant and indispensable condition in gym nastics teaching activities. Gymnastics courses teaching environment affects gymnastics courses teaching effect in different forms. Thus research in gymnastics teaching environment does not only ha ve important theoretical significance but also far-reaching practical significance.This paper uses literature m ethod, survey method, mathematical method and logic method, etc, and conducted detailed survey of gymnastics course teaching environm ent of college physical education major in Henan province. Among which the survey m ethod is the main research m ethod. the following conclusi ons are made based on the acquired data collection and analysis:After the investig ation in 7 colle ges and universities' classe teaching environment situation of gymnastics professional in henan province, m ost venues and equipment facilities in the schools can meet the requirements of normal teaching, but the equipment use frequency is higher and loss faster, the update and maintenance is slower. some colleges even use one gym for multi-purpose, that brings the bad influence for the teaching.Conclusion:There're some problems in the gymnastic s teaching content and assessm ent methods, which needs some modification. The teaching contents in some colleges are too simple, and assessment method is not reasonab le. In teaching staffing, gymnastics teacher qualifications and professional title structure are adequate, but the q uantity of teaching s taff is not sufficient..For the arrangement of gymnastics credit-hours and the term, Henan provincial teaching syllabus clearly stipulated that the common co urse for gymnastics is 60 credit-hours, which occupies 3 credits, but the survey in seven colleges shows that only Zhengzhou University, Henan University and Luoyang Teachers' College meet the requirement among 7 colleges. In terms of class size, som e gymnastics class have 30 or 40 people in som e college physical education courses, which resulted in insufficient of activity space for gymnastics classes, and thus affected the gymnastics class teaching effect.In terms of interperso nal communication in gymnastics course teaching, teachers are the main participant in the teaching process, who should guide the stud ents to complete the teaching tasks and reach the goal of gymnastics cl ass teaching. But in real teaching process, teachers and students lack of communication, which has a big space to be improved.According to current teaching environm ent situation of gymnastics classes in Henan provincial college physical educ ation majors, at the sam e time, referred to the evaluation method and teaching target, m ake an suitab le teaching target and evaluation m ethod for gymnastics classes of college physical education major in Henan province.Strategy optimization:Colleges should improve the physical environment of gymnastics class according to the requirements and actual conditions of gymnas tics teaching, and update teaching facilities properly. In the mean time, adjust the gym activity space and expand gym nastics venue to facilitate students' learning;Build good gym nastics class learning atm osphere, guide students in the process of gymnastics class learning to establish a good interpersonal relationship, make the relationship among individuals, classes and teachers sound and harmonious;According to status qu o of gymnastics class teaching env ironment in colleges and universities in Henan province, and com bined with the common features of physical education teaching en vironment and special features gymnastics teaching en vironment, establish a method and system suitable for assessing gymnastics teaching environment, which is helpful to gymnastics teaching environment assessment, and improvement of gymnastics teaching environment, and improve the teaching effect of gymnastics class.
