Grammar teaching is an important part of English teaching. In our country, English grammar teaching approach is mainly the traditional teaching approach which overemphasizes teachers' teaching. In the traditional classroom, there is no communication between teachers and students or students and students and grammar knowledge is directly taught to students by teachers so that students' ability of communication is neglected and mute English follows. Meanwhile, this kind of teaching approach ignores the host of students in class and students' learning becomes passive.This thesis adopts interactive teaching approach in class to arouse students' grammar learning interest and improve students' grammar scores. This thesis, with 130 students from two parallel classes(experimental class and control class) of Grade One in the No.1 high school in Ning county GanSu province as the objects of research, conducted a questionnaire survey and a test on their English grammar learning and made an experiment on interactive teaching in the experimental class for nearly three months.After the experiment, the author conducted the the post test to find out whether the students' grammar scores were improved. In addition, the questionnaire survey again and an interview were conducted to investigate whether the application of interactive teaching approach can improve students' learning interest.Experimental research results show that in the English grammar teaching of the rural senior high school,the application of interactive teaching approach can enhance students' interest in learning grammar and can improve students' grammar scores and students' English comprehensive ability.
