Lanzhou New District Vocational Education Park Planning Study Under Urban Design Overall Plan

Since entering the 21 st century, the development of our country has made remarkable achievements and our country is to build a well-off society in an all-round way and achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, but there are some social problems which can not be ignored, such as: the gap between rich and poor, employment difficulty, unbalanced regional development, rural surplus labor transfer and so on. In such a situation, the country proposed that building the modern vocational education system, training skills talents in a system way, speeding up to transform the pattern of economic development is the important measures to broaden employment channels and promote employment and re-employment. To response to the national call, all parts of the country actively explore the reform of vocational education development pattern, especially by integrating the institutions of vocational education park to cluster development as the main way in flocking around. But about vocational education park planning theory and method of compare deficient, there are some problems in the process of vocational education park planning and construction. In this paper, considering the vocational education park a complex system and needing to plan as a whole to consider its function, traffic, landscape, architecture, regional culture, such as the internal factors and external factors such as politics, economy, regional industry, at the same time to integrate the internal and external elements together to conduct a comprehensive analysis and study, we can grasp the substance and connotation of the vocational education park planning and create a vocational education park which can adapt to the development of modern vocational education and is with the regional characteristic at the same time. Therefore, the author puts forward the methods and key points of planning about urban design overall plan, and use it in Lanzhou new district vocational education park planning practice, while providing certain theoretical and practical experience to the other similar in China vocational education park planning and construction.This article is divided into five parts. The first part analysis the background of the development of vocational education, put forward the research purpose and meaning, analyzes domestic and foreign research work related to urban design and overall plan, put forward the direction of topic and focus, and defines the research scope, then clear about the research contents, research methods and framework. The second part expounds the connotation, basic procedures and methods, the key points of planning about urban design overall plan through studying some thesis related to urban design and overall plan, and then analysis the connotation and characteristics of the vocational education park planning, at the same time we studied the necessity which we introduce the urban design overall plan method in vocational education park planning. The third part in combination with the general situation and planning background of the Lanzhou new vocational education park analysis the park’s existing plan and summarizes the existing problems. The fourth part makes accounts in detail about case that we have used the method of urban design overall plan in the Lanzhou new vocational education park planning and construction. The fifth part summarizes the main achievements and made an outlook for further research in the field of vocational education park.
